another former Lobotian, Abby G, has recently posted some songs on her blog that she and I worked on. They involve some more lobotters.

Finally Got the Draft of Dichotomy Out for Proofing

Stoked to finally get the pdf to Lulu to proof. In a few days time I will have a book form that I can then use as a template to edit & then print at the letterpress shop. (Can I getta hells yes?) Although this book was supposed to be done for my 30th, I am still happy that I got it out. Here’s one of the poems

EL VIVIERO

Three of them,
The men-
under a starved shade arranged
in plastic chairs enduring
an afternoon stretch
of a thin goose neck.

The static radio, an unwearied tune.
Flesh cages open to the table streams.

bird+mouth=song

The geese are singing
melodies of swans
& the blade is humming along.

Poverty Feast

Last night I made an 8 and 1/2 pork shoulder roast and shanna and gila made greens and polenta. I slow roasted the pork shoulder for nine hours with a northern italian style marinade and served it up with an italian style  salsa verde. I rendered off about 8 ounces of pork fat and Gram, Shanna, and Adam took at least one sip of the delicious smelling and apparently great tasting pork fat each. I wish that some of the less fatty meat would have been a bit less dry, but overall I think it was a success in the sense that the meal was delicious and tasty, fed around a dozen people, and cost me about 20$ total including olive oil and fancy french grey salt. Today I plan to make cuban style sandwiches out of the leftovers. and possibly even a soup or gravy from the nasty bits. yum.
